Gujarat’s First Gold ATM Offering Real-Time London Bullion Market Priced Gold, Open 24/7 in Surat
April 27, 2025
Surat: The city of Surat witnessed the launch of Gujarat’s first Gold ATM. This unique machine, installed by D Khushalbhai Jewelers, stands out as it offers gold at real-time prices based on the London Bullion Market. This allows customers to purchase gold coins with pricing directly reflecting the global market.
The ATM provides 24/7 avenue for buying gold. It dispenses gold coins in various denominations, ranging from 0.5 grams to 20 grams. Additionally, the machine allows for the purchase of silver in weights from 20 grams up to 200 grams.
According to Dipak Choksi, the owner of D Khushalbhai Jewelers, this is the only ATM that provides gold at real-time London Bullion rates, which will be displayed on a screen. The Gold ATM functions similarly to a regular cash ATM, accepting debit cards, credit cards, and UPI payments.
Initially installed at D Khushalbhai Jewelers’ showroom in the Vesu area of Surat, the ATM will operate around the clock. There are plans to expand its availability to other locations such as airports, railway stations, and religious sites in the future.
Choksi mentioned that this initiative addresses the previous inconvenience where people needing gold or silver coins for gifting, especially at night, had to request jewelers to open their stores. Now, the ATM provides continuous access to purchase precious metals. He also noted that people can buy digital gold starting from ₹100 through the DGL Gold application.
Collector Saurabh Pardhi and his wife inaugurated the Gold ATM by purchasing silver from it.
