One arrested in Anand over Instagram Story against Indian Armed forces

Anand: Local Crime Branch of Anand Police have arrested one Nihar Ahmed Sindhi Sama after his Instagram story was reported in violation of the State police instruction that none should post social media content that may harm the morale of Indian armed forces who are at war with Pakistan.

Nihar is originally from Bhuj in border district Kutch. He is the final year student of Computer Science and Design at ADIT college in Anand and presently living in Pushpakamal hostel.

As the police received information about his Instagram story, he was nabbed and taken from Shahid Chawk to Pushpakamal hostel on foot for investigation. Nihar had in his Instagram story described Indian Armed Forces’ actions in Pakistan as terrorism.

Sama’s Instagram account shows ‘Free Palestine’ message and also a line in Urdu – ‘There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah’. His several posts and stories show Palestine related pictures and memes.

It’s worth noting that Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi had warned against social media posts that may harm morale of our Armed forces. Four FIR were filed against such elements, he had added in connection with ongoing Operation Sindoor. DeshGujarat
