Bhuj: The local police have arrested two individuals from Bhenkavad village in Bhanvad for threatening a local farmer over videos related to India-Pakistan tensions. The accused allegedly abused and threatened to kill the farmer if he spoke against Pakistan. However, during the probe, it was revealed that both suspects were in contact with several individuals from Pakistan through social media.
According to police, the two accused—Nurmamad Umar Hingora and Hussain Sumar Hingora—threatened Mukesh Khint, a resident of Bhenkavad village in Bhanvad taluka, warning him not to speak against Pakistan. Evidence retrieved from their mobile phones confirmed that they were in touch with several Pakistani nationals via WhatsApp and Facebook.
The incident unfolded when Mukesh Khint was reportedly watching reels related to the India-Pakistan conflict on his mobile phone at a shop in the Ranjitpara area. Nurmamad, who worked at the shop, became agitated upon seeing the videos and had a heated argument with Mukesh, instructing him not to make any anti-Pakistan comments.
Later, Hussain Sumar Hingora allegedly called Mukesh to support Nurmamad, verbally abused him, and further threatened him. The accused even summoned Mukesh to a paan shop in Ranjitpara and issued a death threat if he spoke anything against Pakistan.
Upon receiving the complaint, police patrolling in the area quickly responded and detained both accused. The investigation revealed the duo had been in contact with several Pakistani individuals through various social media platforms. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway to probe the extent of their connections and motives. DeshGujarar
