June 27, 2025
Surat: The North Eastern Railway is preparing to enhance train connectivity in Bihar. In this context, a report has been sought regarding the extension of the Tapti Ganga Express to Thave station, a location known for its religious and tourist significance. The train currently operates up to Chhapra in Bihar and is popular among passengers. Extending it to Thave is expected to provide greater convenience for travelers.
In addition to the Tapti Ganga Express, the Railways is also considering extending other trains, including the Begampura Express, Marudhar Express, Kamayani Express, and the Ahmedabad–Varanasi Express. Reports on these trains have also been requested.
The Tapti Ganga Express currently runs between Surat and Chhapra. Railway experts suggest that Thave has been selected for extension due to its proximity to a religious site. If the proposal is approved, the extension could be implemented by the start of the upcoming festive season, allowing passengers to benefit from the service during Diwali. DeshGujarat
