Temperatures still below normal across Gujarat; Rajkot coldest among major cities

Ahmedabad: After an initial fall in mercury at the start of the week, temperatures have stabilized across Gujarat over the past two days. However, the cold can still be felt as most areas continue to witness slightly below-normal temperatures, according to the latest report by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the IMD, in Ahmedabad, the maximum temperature was 32.0°C, about 1.2°C below normal, while the minimum settled at 16.5°C, also 1.2°C below the seasonal average. Relative humidity was 60% in the morning and dropped to 33% by evening.
Other regions recorded similar conditions. Baroda saw temperatures ranging between 31.2°C and 15.0°C. Amreli experienced a maximum of 31.1°C and a minimum of 13.2°C, both below normal, while Bhavnagar recorded a maximum of 30.2°C and a minimum of 17.4°C.
Surat, being a coastal area, witnessed a maximum temperature of 32.2°C, while during nighttime, the mercury dipped to 18.6°C. Meanwhile, Rajkot, in the heat of Saurashtra, saw a maximum of 32.8°C and a minimum of 14.6°C.
Western coastal regions such as Dwarka and Diu recorded maximum temperatures of 31.5°C and 31.4°C respectively, with Dwarka seeing a low of 21.0°C and Diu 16.5°C.
Overall, Gujarat remained dry with no rainfall reported across all monitoring stations, while relative humidity levels ranged from 48% to 84% in the morning, falling further in the evening. DeshGujarat
