Jamnagar Gears Up for Inauguration of Saurashtra’s Longest Flyover

Jamnagar: Preparations are in full swing in Jamnagar as the city readies for the inauguration of Saurashtra’s longest flyover bridge, scheduled to be opened by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel on Thursday, November 20. Although groundwork for the event has intensified, an official announcement of the complete program is still awaited.
The bridge connects Sat rasta circle, Gurudwara circle, Ambar circle and Nagnath circle (Smashan chokdi) Subhash bridge. it was announced in the year 2020.
Constructed at a cost of ₹2.29 crore, the 3,450-meter flyover is one of the most significant infrastructure projects undertaken in the region. The bridge, whose construction has been ongoing for more than three years, is now fully complete and in its final review phase.
According to local officials, the main inauguration ceremony is planned at the Town Hall. Administrative teams, along with office bearers, have already begun coordinating event preparations, from traffic management to public arrangements.
Residents, who have long awaited the opening of this major flyover, are hopeful that its launch will ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across the city. With the inauguration just days away, their years-long anticipation is finally nearing an end.
