PM Modi to release 21st installment of PM-KISAN Yojana; Gujarat farmers to get over ₹986 crore

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on November 19. Through this program, the Prime Minister will interact with farmers nationwide and deliver a special address.
In Gujarat, a state-level program will be organized in Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Agriculture Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, and Minister of State for Agriculture Rameshbhai Katara.
Speaking about the event, Agriculture Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said that under the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN Yojana, more than 9 crore farmers across the country will receive financial assistance totaling over Rs. 18,000 crore. In Gujarat, more than 49.31 lakh farmer families will benefit, with over Rs. 986 crore being directly deposited into their bank accounts.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister will also distribute assistance approval letters to beneficiaries of the PM-KISAN scheme, as well as to farmers covered under various agricultural and horticultural schemes.
In addition to the state-level program, similar events will be held at ICAR centers, Central and State Agricultural Universities, and Agricultural Science Centers across the country, with the Prime Minister’s program being broadcast live. Officials, office bearers, and a large number of farmers are expected to attend these events.
It is noteworthy that under the PM-KISAN Yojana, over Rs. 3,91,000 crore has been provided to more than 11 crore farmer families in India through 20 installments.
