Sanand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Sanand, Gujarat, on March 31, 2026 during his Gujarat visit. His visit shall boost India’s technological self-reliance by participating in the semiconductor industry’s expansion.
PM Modi is expected to inaugurate the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) plant in Sanand, developed by Kaynes Technology’s subsidiary, Kaynes Semicon. This plant is ready on over 40 acre land in Sanand GIDC estate. This Rs 3,307 crore project is a crucial part of the 10 semiconductor plants approved under ISM 1.0, representing a major step toward establishing India as a global semiconductor hub.
The visit highlights the rapid development of the Sanand GIDC industrial area, which is fast becoming a central manufacturing hub for AI, data centers, and consumer electronics hardware, following the earlier 2026 inauguration of the Micron Technology facility in the same area. DeshGujarat
