Ahmedabad Passport Office, Seva Kendras to Remain Shut on May 28
May 27, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ahmedabad, has announced a change in its holiday schedule following the Government of India’s decision to observe the Id-ul-Zuha holiday on May 28, 2026 (Thursday), instead of May 27, 2026 (Wednesday).
As per the revised schedule, the Regional Passport Office in Ahmedabad, along with all Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) functioning under its jurisdiction, will remain operational on May 27. However, all these offices will remain closed on May 28 in observance of the festival holiday.
In view of the change, all passport appointments that were earlier scheduled for May 28 have been rescheduled to May 27. Authorities said that concerned applicants are being informed about the revised appointments through SMS and email notifications.
Applicants whose appointments were originally booked for May 28 have been advised to visit their respective PSK, POPSK, or RPO on May 27 at their allotted time slots.
Officials have also urged applicants to check the Passport Seva Portal for updated appointment details and further information. DeshGujarat
