Ahmedabad Passport Office to Allow Walk-In Enquiries, Document Submission Every Wednesday
June 05, 2026
Ahmedabad: In a move aimed at improving access and expediting the resolution of pending passport applications, the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ahmedabad, has announced a dedicated weekly walk-in facility for applicants starting June 15, 2026.
Under the new arrangement, passport applicants with pending applications can visit the Regional Passport Office without a prior appointment every Wednesday (except public holidays) between 10 am and 1 pm to make enquiries or submit required documents related to their applications.
The RPO stated that the initiative has been introduced in view of the adequate availability of online appointment slots and to encourage greater use of the online appointment system while ensuring smooth and timely disposal of requests and representations.
The office will continue to issue 100 online appointments on all working days for applicants seeking to make enquiries or submit documents. Applicants can schedule appointments online at a date and time convenient to them.
In addition to physical visits, applicants can also seek information regarding the status of their passport applications through the RPO’s helpline number (079-26300603), email ([email protected]), and its X (formerly Twitter) handle, @rpoahmedabad.
The passport office has advised applicants visiting for enquiries or document submission to carry all original supporting documents. DeshGujarat
