Gujarat CM, Dy CM on Delhi Visit
June 10, 2026
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has reached New Delhi to attend the meeting of all Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-governed states.
Before his departure, the Chief Minister visited the Trimandir in Adalaj, where he performed ‘Aarti’ and offered prayers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long life and good health as the Prime Minister completed 12 years in office and became India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.
In a post on social media, Patel said he participated in a special aarti at the temple after having darshan of Lord Shri Simandhar Swami and other deities. He also prayed for the continued all-round development of Gujarat and the country. The Chief Minister said Maha Aarti programmes were organised at various places across Gujarat as an expression of goodwill towards Modi and to wish him a long and healthy life.
Due to the Chief Minister’s scheduled attendance at the federal meeting, the state’s cabinet meeting originally planned for today has been postponed.
Meanwhile, Minister Harsh Sanghavi is already in Delhi as part of a three-day tour and will also be present for the proceedings. There are strong indications that both the Chief Minister and Harsh Sanghavi may hold formal meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah while in Delhi. DeshGujarat
