Chhota Udepur: Twenty-five tribal ‘Vanvasi’ people left Christianity and reconverted to Hinduism during the inauguration of Shri Anandvardhan Ashram in Vasna (Koshindra) village of Chhota Udepur district. The ashram was inaugurated by Dwarka Sharada Peethadhishwar Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswatiji Maharaj.
As per the event organisers, the participants voluntarily took Ganga jal and pledged to follow Sanatan Hinduism by accepting the mantra of Lord Shri Ram. Those present at the event also expressed their commitment to practising the Hindu faith.
Addressing the gathering, Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswatiji said he has been undertaking a Swadharmanayana Yatra in tribal areas for several years to promote awareness about Sanatan Dharma.
He said the establishment of Shri Anandvardhan Ashram, operated by Dwarka Sharadapith in Vasna village, would further strengthen the campaign. According to him, the initiative aims to spread awareness about religious traditions by reaching out to villages across the tribal region and guiding people on the observance of Sanatan Hindu practices.
