Ambaji – Gabbar Shakti Corridor Gets Gujarat HC Nod

Ahemdabad: The Gujarat High Court has cleared the way for the Ambaji-Gabbar Shakti Corridor, dismissing petitions challenging the state government’s resumption of land for the ambitious pilgrimage project.

Justice Niral Mehta, on Friday, refused to interfere with orders passed by the Banaskantha Collector that allowed the government to proceed with the land acquisition for the dedicated corridor connecting Ambaji Temple and Gabbar Mandir.

The petitions were filed by Ambaji Kelavani Mandal, which argued that the land was being used for its girls’ school and playground.

Appearing for the state, Government Pleader GH Virk submitted that the land belonged to the government, was required for a larger public purpose and had already been taken into possession by the state.

The Shakti Corridor is part of the broader development plan for Ambaji and is envisioned as a major pilgrimage link between the Ambaji temple complex and Gabbar shrine. The court’s decision removes a key legal hurdle for the project. DeshGujarat
