BJP declares candidates for Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday announced 32 candidates for the upcoming Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) general election.
The candidates have been declared for eight wards, namely Wards 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, with four candidates named from each ward. The list was announced following a meeting of the party’s election committee chaired by Gujarat BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
The BJP’s announcement covers 32 of the 44 seats across the 11 wards of the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation. The remaining candidates are expected to be announced subsequently.
The Gandhinagar civic polls are scheduled for October 11, 2026, with counting of votes scheduled for October 13. The last date for filing nominations is September 26. DeshGujarat
