US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Visit Jamnagar

Jamnagar: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Jamnagar in Gujarat as part of his India trip from October 17 to 22, 2026, according to a media note issued by the US Department of State on October 13.

Rubio will also visit Mumbai during his second official trip to India this year. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet senior Indian government officials to strengthen the US-India strategic partnership, exchange views on regional and global developments, and discuss opportunities for enhanced energy cooperation.

The US Secretary of State will also hold meetings with business leaders to promote commercial investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Before arriving in India, Rubio will travel to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to participate in the C5+1 Ministerial meeting, which brings together the United States and five Central Asian countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

During his visit to Uzbekistan, Rubio will hold bilateral engagements with senior officials from the five Central Asian countries and lead a US commercial delegation comprising more than 200 business leaders. The visit aims to strengthen strategic and commercial cooperation between the United States and Central Asia.
