GSPL Transmission Plans ₹3,500 Crore Capex to Expand Gujarat Gas Pipeline Network
November 07, 2026
Ahmedabad: Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) Transmission Ltd plans to invest approximately ₹3,500 crore over the next two to three years to expand its pipeline network, primarily through capacity augmentation and connectivity to new geographical areas, BusinessLine reported.
According to the report, the proposed capital expenditure (capex) programme comprises around 10 pipeline and connectivity projects spanning approximately 700 km.
“We will be laying new and loop lines connecting existing entry and exit points. Apart from that, we will be covering new geographical areas within Gujarat,” the management told the paper.
The expansion programme is expected to increase the capacity of GSPL Transmission’s high-pressure pipeline grid to around 44 million standard cubic metres per day (mscmd), compared with the current 36-37 mscmd, as determined by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). This would represent an increase of approximately 20% in the grid’s rated transmission capacity.
The company said the investment would be largely funded through internal accruals, supported by cash balances and operating cash flows. DeshGujarat
