New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appointed Saral Patel and Pranav Vachharajani from Gujarat as Congress party’s national social media department conveners. This announcement was made today by party from Delhi.

In another development ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) president Amit Shah has announced several appointments in party organization in connection with upcoming general elections of Lok Sabha.

Among Gujaratis in the list is State minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama who has been placed in committee to make contact with social and voluntary organisations. The committee has 14 members and Chudasama is one among them.

Pankaj Shukla from Gujarat BJP has been placed in party’s national social media team along with 12 others including Vijay Chauthaiwale and Madhukeshwar Desai. Vijay is now settled in Delhi, but prior to that he was based in Ahmedabad. Madhukeshwar Desai is from South Gujarat but based in Mumbai. He is great grandson of former Prime Minister late Shri Morarjibhai Desai.

Vadodara based Bhargav Bhatt has been placed in a 13-member committee to reach out to beneficiaries of various government schemes.

Former Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Gujarat unit president Pradipsinh Vaghela has been placed in three-member committee for bike rallies.

Shah has formed in-total 17 committees.
