ACB Gujarat nabs junior clerk of sub-registrar office in a bribe case of Rs 5000

Ahmedabad: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a junior clerk of sub-registrar office at Polytechnic compound in Memnagar, Ahmedabad in a bribe case of Rs 5000.
The complainant had applied for getting copies of the documents at the sub-registrar office in the Polytechnic compound in Memnagar and paid the fees. The accused junior clerk Pujaben Dineshbhai Patel demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 to issue the certified copies of the documents. The amount was reduced to Rs 7000 after arguments. The complainant paid Rs 2000 on 16th June and promised to pay the remaining Rs 5000 the next day to the accused.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained. DeshGujarat
