ACB Gujarat nabs a police constable in bribe case

Dang: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed an assistant police constable of Waghai police station of Kalibel outpost in Dang district along with a GRD in a bribe case of Rs 5000.
The complainant sells omelette and biryani in a cart beside the road from Kalibel to Tekpada. The accused assistant police constable Ashwin Gambhirbhai Vasava demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 per month in installments. The amount was reduced to Rs 8000 after arguments. The complainant had told him to pay Rs 5000 to the complainant on 8th July. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. During the trap executed by ACB, the accused assistant police constable and accused GRD Kamleshbhai Evjibhai Gaikwad arrived in a government vehicle at the site to take the bribe. The accused assistant police constable asked the GRD to accept the bribe and left the site. The accused GRD was found taking the bribe from the complainant after the same.
The accused GRD is detained and the accused assistant police constable is yet to be found. DeshGujarat
