Bhavnagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has caught the assistant cooperative officer of the district industry centre in Bhavnagar in a bribe case of Rs 19 thousand.

ACB had secretly received the information about the officer demanding bribes at the district industry centre Bhavnagar.ACB arranged a decoy trap with the help of the decoyer. A decoyer had applied for a loan of Rs 10 lakh under the PMEGP scheme. The application was pending at the district industry centre in Bhavnagar.

The accused assistant cooperative officer Paljibhai Dhudabhai Maru was found taking a bribe of Rs 19 thousand from the decoyer to approve the application, during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained.
