Bhavnagar court sends 2 aides of Yuvrajsinh to 6 days of police custody

Bhavnagar: Two associates of AAP leader Yuvrajsinh Jadeja were sent to six days of police custody by a local court in Bhavnagar. Jadeja is already in seven days’ remand for an extortion and criminal conspiracy case.

The accused, Bipin Trivedi and Ghanshyam Ladhva, were arrested on Saturday along with Yuvrajsinh. All of them are accused of extorting Rs. 1 crore from two individuals involved in the dummy candidate racket. According to the police, Trivedi and Ladhva each took Rs. 10 lakh as part of their commission. While Trivedi is a government school teacher, Ladhva is a principal at a government school in Bapda village.

In another development, one more complaint is likely to be lodged against Yuvrajsinh Jadeja at the Ghogha police station in Bhavnagar for allegedly kidnapping a dummy candidate.

In one more setback for Yuvrajsinh and his aides, Rs. 38 lakh cash was found by Police and recovered from the residence of Yuvrajsinh’s aide and relative Kanbha’s friend’s house. The trace of this amount was revealed during the questioning of Kabhha. DeshGujarat
