Rs. 63.50 crore new river bridges over Sabarmati and Vatrak inaugurated

Kheda: Two river bridges built by the Gujarat government were inaugurated on November 11 by Union minister and local Lok Sabha member Devusinh Chauhan.
Among them, one is built on National Highway 8 over river Vatrak at a cost of Rs. 34.50 crore. The other is built on river Sabarmati in Rasikpura village on Kheda – Dholka road at a cost of Rs. 29 crore.
Chauhan after inaugurating these bridges said that both bridges are 400 m long and 10.50 m wide. The total cost involved in their construction is Rs. 63.50 crore.
He said the earlier bridge on Vatrak was built in 1945. It was a narrow bridge that had aged, he said. He further said that the bridge is four lanes as it is located on Dakor-Dwarka Pragatipath. Devusinh in his address mentioned how many times he himself had paid site visits for quality checks of construction of these bridges. DeshGujarat
