PM Narendrabhai Modi to dedicate and launch Rs. 48,000 crore projects from Rajkot on Feb 25

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and launch works for several development projects worth more than ₹ 48,000 crore under various departments of the Central and State Governments at Rajkot on February 25. These departments include Health and Family Welfare Department, Ports, Power, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Roads and Buildings, Water Supply, Tourism, Railways, NHAI and Energy and Petrochemicals. Projects worth Rs. 35,700 crore will be gifted to Gujarat at the hands of the Prime Minister.

Sharing the details of Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming home-state visit, Gujarat government’s spokesperson minister Rushikesh Patel said – The Prime Minister will inaugurate five new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the country, including Rajkot AIIMS. Notably, Rajkot AIIMS has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹1195 crore. The inauguration of Rajkot AIIMS will mark the inauguration of Gujarat’s first state-of-the-art AIIMS.

It will have IPD services in Tower A&B Hospital Block with a capacity of 250 beds, Under Graduate Boys and Girls Hostel with a dining hall with a capacity to accommodate 500 people, 66 kV Control Grid Substation, Shopping Complex, OPD services under 14 departments etc. So far 1 lakh 44 thousand patients have visited OPD in Rajkot AIIMS and availed services.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate AIIMS in different parts of the country like Kalyani, Mangalagiri, Bathinda and Rae Bareli. He will also perform the khatmuhurta of Ren Basera virtually for AIIMS in Bhopal. The new AIIMS will provide healthcare facilities, especially in Tier 2 cities and rural areas of the country. It may be mentioned that the inauguration of these hospitals is part of the projects undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at a cost of ₹11,392 crore.

The Prime Minister during his Gujarat visit will launch the transmission scheme for injection evacuation of 3 GW Renewable Energy (3GE RE) at Khawda PS under Phase-1 (Khavda-Bhuj Transmission Ltd.) in the state. The total cost of this project is more than ₹11,00 crore. In addition, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 10 power projects including renewable energy parks, pooling stations, wind power and solar power with an estimated value of over ₹15,000 crore.

PM will lay fuoundation for Rs. 9,000 crore Nava Mundra – Panipat crude oil pipeline project in Kutch. He is also going to perform ground breaking for Nava Mundra – Panipat crude oil pipeline project (new MPPL) worth Rs. 9000 crore.

PM will on 25 February during his Gujarat visit will dedicate two highways built for Rs. 2,000 crore in Bhavnagar and perform groundbreaking for proposed Rs. 1500 crore six land highway in Kutch. Cost of construction of these highways is Rs. 3800 crore plus.

PM will dedicate and perform ground breaking for Rs. 1586 crore works of Gujarat government’s health and family welfare department. He will dedicate Rs. 120 crore reconstructed Maternal and Child Janana hospital in PDPU campus.

The other facilities are Vadodara based new Cardilogy institute and multi-specialty hospital. New OPD and IPD complex in New civil hospital of Surat, 66 Primary Health Centres and 6 new Community Health Centres across Gujarat.

Critical Care Block (CCB) of 100 beds at two places and Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPHL) at two places will be inaugurated under Central government’s PM Ayushyaman Bharat Health Infra Mission (PM-ABHIM) of Central government.

PM will dedicate 116 km long Surendranagar-Rajkot railway line doubling project which has realized at a cost of Rs. 1300 crore. PM will dedicate and perform ground breaking for 3 railway projects in Kutch worth Rs. 700 crores.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also inaugurate and launch works for the following developments:

• Development works under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare worth more than ₹5000 crore

• Development works under Ministry of Labor and Employment worth more than ₹2200 crore

• Development works under Energy and Petrochemicals Division worth over ₹550 crore

• Development projects under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways worth over ₹250 crore

• Development works under Water Supply Department worth more than ₹250 crore

• Development works under Roads and Buildings Department worth more than ₹ 200 crores

• Development works of tourism department worth more than ₹60 crore
