Gujarat Police launches new helpline number to address traffic-related issues
September 10, 2024
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has launched a new initiative to address traffic problems in the state. A special helpline service, 18002331122, has been introduced by the Gujarat Police to handle issues related to road accidents and traffic jams.
Citizens can report road accidents, traffic jams, or any other traffic-related issues from anywhere in the state with a single phone call to this helpline. The information will be promptly forwarded to the concerned police officer to resolve the issue.
In addition to the helpline, the Gujarat Police has introduced three other services for citizens, including a website, an email ID, and a special smartphone application for convenience.
Helpline 18002331122: Upon receiving a call, the concerned district police officer will be instructed to take immediate action to resolve the issue.
Application: The ‘Citizen First’ app now includes a feature to report traffic jams or accidents using a smartphone. Citizens can report the problem by taking a photo, which is geotagged and monitored by the police in real-time.
Website: Citizens can upload photos of traffic-related problems on the website https://gujhome.gujarat.gov.in/portal, specifying the location.
Email: Complaints can also be submitted via email to trafficgrievance@gujarat.gov.in, and action will be taken to resolve the issues.
Senior police officers will continuously monitor these channels to ensure prompt resolution of traffic complaints. The State Traffic Branch encourages widespread use of these new facilities to improve the traffic system and enhance road safety. DeshGujarat
