Acharya Dharmendraji Maharaj worked for Narendra Modi in Gujarat election 2007 by addressing dozen rallies across Gujarat. When most of the Sadhus and Vishva Hindu Parishad was against Modi during election, Dharmendra Maharaj came forward and delivered speeches containing hardcore Hinduism.

After the election of Narendra Modi, dharmendra Maharaj’s sanstha Pavan Parivar had organized a public address in Town hall of Ahmedabad. Narendra Modi came to this speech, went on stage, had a Jadu ki zappi (hug) with Dharmendra Maharaj and quietly stepped down from the stage and sat in the audience. Modi attended almost whole speech.
