Cheetahs unwell in Junagadh, Singapore Zoo is being consulted

Four Cheetahs at Junagadh’s Sakkarbag zoo that were brought from Singapore zoo in March – 2009 in exchange of Gujarati Gir Lion are under medical treatment due to problem occured in Membranous tube and lever.
Junagadh’s Sakkarbag zoo is India’s only zoo that possesses Cheetahs presently. Earlier all efforts to keep Cheetahs in any India zoo invited failure in last several decades and Cheetahs died.
The Cheetahs at Sakkarbag zoo are now under treatment and closed for public view. The doctors at Sakkarbag zoo are in consultation with doctors at Singapore zoo who are experienced in treating Cheetahs.
According to Zoo Superitendednt V.J.Rana, the Cheetahs are undergoing medical treatment and their condition is improving. Condition of one of the four Cheetahs is critical. Three Cheetahs have started consuming food after a break, that is the sign of improvement.
