Jamnagar receives 3 inch rainfall in 2 hours, 5 trapped in flood

It’s raining in Gujarat’s Jamangar on Friday morning, and it’s raining heavily. In just two hours, almost 3 inch rainfall has been noticed in Jamnagar. At least five persons are trapped on a tanka amid heavy flood in local river near Amaran vilalge of the district. A rescue team from Jamnagar has departed for operation.
Interestingly, the Jamnagar district has witnessed 45.83% of total seasonal rain this season so far, which is considerably well and highest among all districts of the state this season. The entire state has so far witnessed only 22% of total seasonal rainfall this year.
Yesterday, Jamnagar district’s Dhrol, Jamjodhpur and Jamnagar talukas received 22mm, 10mm and 32mm rainfall respectively. Jamnagar district’s Dwarka taluka has received 72.04% of total seasonal rainfall already.
