Speaking on the last day of the three-day fast undertaken by Chief Minister Narendra Modi for Sadbhavna Mission at Gujarat University Conventional Hall here this evening, top BJP leaders described the ‘Gujarat model of development’ as the stepping stone to the Sadbhavna Mission.

Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said that one reason for the success of Gujarat in various fields is its decision to shift in the policy for all round development and deliver good governance, unperturbed by baseless allegations from different quarters during the last ten years.

Well-known spiritual leader Shri Bhaiyuji Maharaj said the state, where health, education and religion have spread to the remotest corner, can never stay behind on the front of humane values. Gujarat has developed on this route. “Narendrabhai has the soul of Swami Vivekananda while the body and religion of Shivaji”, he said.

If a job is done out of helplessness it eventually turns into corruption, but if the same job is done with the sense of service in converts into rashtra dharma. With the kind of development happened in Gujarat in the field of agriculture and industries the job has become service for the people. He said that Sadbhavna becomes another name for secularism

Mr. Venkaiya Naidu, former National President of BJP, said that he has nowhere seen people joining in such a way with a Chief Minister’s programme. Praising the state’s progress he said that Gujarat’s agricultural growth rate is over 10% compare to the national average of 3%. Gujarat has the availability of 24 hour power supply and many industries are coming to Gujarat for investment. Gujarat’s growth should be shown to entire country.

Central government doesn’t have a solution to combat with terrorism. Country is under ‘tension’ while in Gujarat is under ‘attention’, he said.

Congress keeps singing about Godhra incident which has become a history now. And in doing so it forgets the Delhi’s massacre of 1984 where over 4000 Sikhs were killed, he said.
