Gujarat Police Chief DGP Vikas Sahay gets Extension in Service

Gandhinagar: On the day of his retirement from the Indian Police Service (IPS), it is learnt that the Director General of Police in Gujarat, IPS Vikas Sahay, has been given six-month extension in service by the state government. Sahay’s term will now end on the last day of this calendar year instead of 30th June.
June 1965 born Vikas Sahay joined the IPS cadre in August 1989. He was appointed as DGP of Gujarat (State Police chief) in March 2023.
