While 14 states of India are polling most likely to elect a non Congress Prime Minister, today is 19th death anniversery of first non Congress Prime Minister of India Shri Morarji Desai. Shri Desai was elected from Gujarat as a member of parliament. Presented in the pictures above is samadhi of Shri Morarjibhai Desai which is called ‘Abhay Ghaat’. Shri Desai was cremated at this place. Abhay Ghaat is located on Ashram road in Ahmedabad just next to the Sabarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi. The place has good landscape and open environment but very few people visit it.
