Sand mining blocks auctioned in some districts of Gujarat

Gujarat Minister Saurabh Patel today said that Mining department of state government has taken a decision of auction of sand mining blocks and has identified 167 such blocks, of which 50 are already auctioned, which has earned the state government Rs 48 crore beyond royalty. Patel said that sand mining block auction process has completed in Bhavnagar, Botad, Tapi, Surendranagar and Sabarkantha districts and in upcoming days, rest of the blocks are to be auctioned.
