Gandhinagar: Ahead of his swearing in as new Chief Minister of Gujarat, BJP leader Vijay Rupani today visited Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha(BAPS) sants. Rupani sought blessings of Brahmvihari Swami. Rupani also visited Circuit house to meet Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala and received his well wishes. Somewhat this is a tradition established by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi who would go and seek blessings from BAPS Pramukh Swami Maharaj on his oath taking day. Vajubhai belongs to assembly constituency from which Vijay Rupani is MLA at present. Vajubhai resigned from the seat on his appointment as Karnataka Governor. The by-poll that happened next was contested by Rupani as BJP candidate. Rupani was trying to enter into assembly since long, but due to Vala’s claim over Rajkot West seat, Rupani was denied ticket twice. Rupani could for the first time contest assembly election only two years back after Vala’s departure as Karnataka Governor. Rupani had yesterday visited first BJP Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel and sought his blessings. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel who accompanied Rupani to Keshubhai’s place today also visited Vajubhai Vala in Circuit house.
