Some elements trying to divide society with motive to grab power: RSS Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today said that certain elements were involved in ‘intellectual terrorism’ in Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with an ulterior motive to grab the power.
Addressing a press conference here today RSS Gujarat unit’s head (Prant Sanghchalak) Mukesh Malkan said the sudden spurt of agitations in Gujarat in last one year or so, was the result of ‘intellectual terrorism’ from certain elements who wanted to somehow grab the power by dethroning the current regime.
He was replying to a query regarding various agitations including Patidar and Dalit stirs in the state.
‘The attack on Dalits, anywhere in the country including Gujarat is highly condemnable. The RSS condemned Una incident. There was no problem with peaceful agitations on genuine issues but what has happened is Gujarat is an example of what can be termed ‘intellectual terrorism’, the RSS leader said.
‘Some elements are trying to divide the society with a motive to grab the power,’ he said.
Mr Malkan said that his outfit has taken up the task to restore the harmony in the society through various measures including around 5,000 sadbhavana meetings at taluka level till May next year across Gujarat. People from various sections are being brought together to strengthen the social fiber.
To a query he said that the self styled fake cow vigilantes (Nakali Gau Rakshaks) should be taken to task.
