Diyodar (Gujarat):
Former BJP MLA from Diyodar assembly segment in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat Anil Mali today formally joined BJP with his supporters here.
Current MLA from Diyodar, minister of state and Banaskantha district president of BJP, Keshaji Chauhan, however, said that Mali’s leaving the party won’t have any effect as he was behaving like not being a part of it since long.
‘Mali was not participating in any of the party or government events since long. It was as if he had left the party long ago. His joining Congress won’t have any effect on BJP,’ Chauhan said.
On the other hand Mali, who joined Congress during a get together of the party here today claimed that he would work for ensuring victory of Congress on maximum possible seats.
Mali had resigned from BJP yesterday itself and it was expected that he would join Congress.
Another BJP leader Mahesh Dave also joined Congress today.
