PM Narendra Modi today congratulated Rahul Gandhi on his election as the Congress president today.

“I congratulate Rahul Ji on his election as Congress President. My best wishes for a fruitful tenure,’ he tweeted amid an ongoing bitter battle of words between him and Rahul during the heightened poll campaign in Gujarat today. Both the leaders were in Gujarat and addressing a series of rallies in central and north regions.

Modi during his election rallies had also taken a dig at the Congress leader saying that his election as the party president was as certain as the BJP win in the other two recent election ie local body polls in UP and Gujarat assembly polls.
