3 held in Bhuj for illegal beef selling, 120 kg calf’s meat recovered from home

At least 3 people have been nabbed by police in B-division area of Bhuj city in connection with illegal beef business.
Police today said that Ashraf alias Validi R Mandhariya, Aziz alias Aliyo Anwar Sameja and Anwar alias Karo Sameja were nabbed last night from a house in Bhuteswar area near railway station from where 120 kg beef, weighing machine and knife meant to cut the meat for sale were also recovered.
The beef was sent for FSL test during which it was established that it was calf’s meat.
Police said that a case under The Gujarat Animal Preservation (Amendment) Bill 2017 has been registered and attempts were on to nab the fourth accused Abdul who had fled from the scene during police raid last night.
