Cloudy weather and drizzle caused by cyclonic system induced by Western disturbance lying over South Pakistan: Gujarat Met Director
March 19, 2018
Ahmedabad:
The cloudy to partly cloudy atmosphere and light rain/drizzle at some place including Ahmedabad and districts of North Gujarat was caused by a cyclonic system induced by a western disturbance lying currently over South Pakistan, Met Center Director Jayanta Sarkar today said.
Sarkar said that the clouds from the atmosphere would completely clear by tomorrow.
‘The change in weather in the last 24 hours was caused by the cyclonic system induced by the western disturbance which was lying over South Pakistan and South West Rajasthan yesterday and has moved towards South Pakistan today,’ he said.
‘But there won’t be any considerable amount of rain as there was not sufficient moisture in the upper atmosphere. The cloud over Northern part of the state would clear by tomorrow,’ Sarkar added.
Notably, under the effect of the western disturbance, there was cloudy weather over Ahmedabad and other parts of North Gujarat. Light ran to drizzle was experienced in some parts of Ahmedabad, Sabarkantha, Patan, Aravalli and other places.
