Anand:

Managing Director of the Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited popularly known as Amul Dairy, K Ratnam has resigned from his post.

55 year old Ratnam had joined the prestigious dairy in 1995 in a junior position and was elevated to the post of MD in 2014.

Ratnam today confirmed that he has put in his papers and given his resignation letter to Amul Dairy Chairman Ramsinh Parmar.

He said that he has resigned to pursue his personal interests in life.

To a query about his resignation being linked to a multi million rupee scam in the dairy, he said that it was completely false.

Ratnam said that it was completely a personal decision.
