Ahmedabad/Surat/Rajkot/Vadodara:

Congress today held demonstrations and rallies across the state to protest against the rise in Petrol and Diesel prices.

The main opposition party during protests also took out rallies and blocked roads.

To add novelty to the demonstrations the party also included different kind of new ways including Garba and horse-cart in Surat, a Dinosaur effigy, cycle and camel cart in Vadodara and other places. It also took out the funeral procession of a motor-cycle in Jamnagar city.

The party took out a rally from Trikonbaug to Hospital crossing in Rajkot city. They also laid on the road and were shouting anti BJP and anti Modi government slogan.

They were also carrying placards with slogans tied in their necks.

In Surat woman workers of the party also played Garba on the roads during protest.

In Vadodara, a rally from Pratapnagar to Gandhinagar Gruh was taken out. An effigy of Dinosaur and demon as a symbol of inflation was special attraction during it.
