Whem I was Gujarat CM and he was PM of India, I had gone to meet him. I told him that the Narmada project’s was stalled for over a year and a half. He gave me a patient hearing and his reply was terse that the needful would be done and to our pleasure he allowed the increase of height by 20 more meters. It was a great help for Gujarat where water is scanty,’ Keshubhai himself a Nonagenarian reminisced.
