New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member elected from Gujarat and senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel today took charge of the office of national treasurer of main opposition Indian National Congress(INC) in New Delhi. Ahmed Patel is also political secretary of United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. As Treasurer he has replaced senior Congress leader Motilal Vora. His appointment as Treasurer was recently announced by party president Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi confidant and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot was present on this occasion.
