Surat:A complaint has been lodged against five people including Congress corporator of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) Nilesh Kumbhani in Sarthana police station here.

Police said that the case was pertaining to beating up a youth over some kind of dispute regarding a social media post.

He said that the complainant has alleged that he was beaten up by Kumbhani and his supporters in a farm house.

Meanwhile Kumbhani said that he had no role in it.

Police was investigating the matter.
