MG Motors starts production in old General Motors plant at Halol in Gujarat

Vadodara: MG Motors has started production of MG Hector, the British carmaker’s upcoming SUV in India, at its plant in Halol. The plant was earlier owned by General Motors India. MG Motor India had acquired the factory from General Motors in 2017. The plant is now all set for the rollout of the company’s first car in India. The car is likely to be unveiled in India in the last week of May, while MG Hector’s India launch is scheduled for first week of June. The SUV’s deliveries will also begin immediately after the price is announced.
