GMRC conducts mock drill; video goes viral as actual glitch

Ahmedabad: A video of “passengers” leaving a halted Metro train in Ahmedabad and walking on a bridge to reach Amraivadi Metro station was viral and in circulation widely on social media platforms. The people on social media had started commenting about technical glitch in Metro train. However Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) clarified that it was not a technical glitch but mock drill GMRC official also clarified that those looking like passengers were actually GMRC staffers. The mock drill was held as per safety manual and it was done to study possible evacuation if train suffers glitch.
