Junagadh, 29 April, 2011
BJP’s Junagadh MLA Mahendra Mashru will walk from Junagadh to Lathi to fulfill a pledge that he had taken on approval to Girnar ropeway project by central government’s Enviornment and Forest ministry.
MLA Mashru had taken a pledge at Bhurakhia Hanuman Mandir near Amreli district’s Lathi that if central ministry approves the Girnar ropeway project, he would walk from Junagadh’s Lambe Hanuman Mandir to Lathi’s Bhurakhiya Hanuman mandir.
Mashru had earlier met the central minister of Enviornment and Forest with 1 lakh signatures in favor of Girnar Ropeway Project. He had at that time threatened to walk from Junagadh to Delhi protesting against delay in approval of the project.
The minister has granted the project this week in Wildlife board meeting.
