Special weightage to Raksha Shakti University students in Gujarat Police recruitment:Modi(speech video)

Chief Minister Mr.Narendra Modi today announced that the pass-outs of Raksha Shakti University will be given a special weightage and special points in the recruitment of Gujarat police and defence forces. They will also be given priority in home-guard and village-guard services. The announcement came at the function where about 142 students of the first batch of Diploma In Police Science of Raksha Shakti University were given prizes and certificates by the Chief Minister on completion of the course.
Chief Minister, while wishing the students for a successful career said that this will help the students to join disciplined security forces and to serve the nation and society. There were some doubts in the beginning against the objectives of the Raksha Shakti University, but the works done by the university in the short span is quite encouraging, he said.
He added that the university will be instrumental in setting a new work culture within the country in field of security. Gujarat has opened the door for a special kind of education and training which will prepare the talented pool of manpower who will meet the challenges of the future, he said.
Mr.Sahay, Deputy Director General of the university, while giving details of the course said that in the first batch of Diploma In Police Science this year, 141 students out of 159 stood successful in passing the course. A full-fledge complex of Raksha Shakti University is taking place in Lavad village near Gandhinagar in 240 acres. Students will be trained here to tackle the security challenges of the modern times and the best of the industry will be called for the training.
Those present on the occasion includes Minister of State Mr.Praful Patel, Additional Chief Secretary Mr.Balawant Sinh, Principal Secretary to Education Mr.Hasmukh Adhiya, DGP Mr. Chitranjan Singh, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Mr.Sudhir Sinha, fomer DGP Mr.P.C.Pande and the family members of the passed students.
