Class 12 Hindu student raped twice in Vadodara; accused Wajidshah arrested

Vadodara: Not even a week has passed since the Bhayli minor girl rape incident, but yet another shocking case of rape against a Hindu minor girl has come to light in the Manjalpur area of the city. A 17 years old minor girl studying in the 12th standard was allegedly raped twice by a man 18 years old named Wajid Shah Diwan at his friend’s house last month. The accused also tortured the girl to force her to play Garba with him and take pictures. The mother of the minor girl has filed a complaint with the Manjalpur police against Wajid Shah Diwan of Makarpura village, following which the police apprehended the accused.

According to police officials, a complaint was filed at the Manjalpur police station in which the victim is a minor and her mother has filed the complaint. As per the complaint, the minor came into contact with the accused through the social media app Instagram, after which the accused forced her to have physical relations with him on two occasions. the accused allegedly kidnapped the girl and raped her so, has been booked under sections 87, 64, and 137(2) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 4, 5, and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
