New road will connect Nadiad directly to Udaipur and Mumbai

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Sunday performed ground breaking and kick started the work for strengthening and expansion of Nadiad-Mahudha-Kathlal-Kapadvanj-Modasa highway connecting central Gujarat and north Gujarat. Shri Modi on this occassion said that the road will be doubled in width, and will be more durable under this project. Once ready this road would connect central Gujarat’s Nadiad to the places of Maharashtra and Rajasthan like Mumbai and Udaipur and places of south Gujarat and north Gujarat like Vapi and Shamlaji directly. This project has been implemented under Gujarat government’s ambitious state highway development scheme, Shri Modi added.
Nadiad-Kathlal-Kapadvanj-Modasa state highway development project is worth Rs. 244 crore. It should be mentioned that the Gujarat government is celebrating Independence day’s state function in Nadiad this year, and prior to main function, projects worth Rs. 700 crore are inaugurated or initiated during last two weeks.
