In Gujarat, the leader is solid, and people too

In Gujarat, the leader is solid, and people tooThe day when controversial suspended cop Sanjiv Bhatt was arrested, Arnab Goswami on Times now expressed his opinion that in this case(Sanjiv Bhatt’s arrest) Narendra Modi’s timing was really wrong, after all his name was discussed as possible Prime ministerial candidate, and why he did this? Why his police arrested this cop? Goswami also linked Sanjiv Bhatt’s arrest with an affidavit he filed in Haren Pandya murder three days before his arrest.

More I watch national news channels, more I think, how much time it will take actually for Delhi based national media to understand the man Narendra Modi? It increasingly seems that the national media will perhaps never be able to understand him.

Structurally Sanjiv Bhatt’s arrest is just a part of routine police procedure and not Chief Minister’s cup of tea.

But suppose if Sanjiv Bhatt is arrested on Modi’s order as per widely speculated in media, then this development once again shows us Narendra Modi’s bold swarupa.

It was obvious that if Sanjiv Bhatt was arrested, the media would behave in extra-active manner in reaction by criticizing Mr. Modi.

It was obvious that number of sleeping NGOs would suddenly wake up and would do naarabazi, arrange press conferences and go on dharna.

It was obvious that new court battles would start.

It was obvious that types of Teesta, Shabnam, Mallika, Shrikumar would come on TV more frequently spitting venom against Gujarat establishment.

But disregarding this all, whatever was needed to be done as per the law, whatever was needed to be done according to dharma(duty), whatever procedure needed to be done as per the act was done.

Predictable reactions were well predictable in advance, and if we can predict, Modi could have predicted them well, so as Gujarat police.

But whatever was needed to be done was done.

This is our bold Narendra Modi. He continues to do whatever is to be done.

If leaders stop using authority thinking what media would say, or what NGOs would do, then such leaders would become useless(As we are discussing Modi, we are not using the word ‘politician’ here and using the word ‘leader’).

And the people of Gujarat, even amidst a big storm of dust can watch the Sun constantly and can pay salute. This too is interesting.

In Gujarat, the leader is solid, and people too.
