‘Ahmedabad eye’, a tethered balloon ride at Kankaria lake front resumed its service after gap of over five months.
Last year ‘Ahmedabad eye’ was opened by Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
However after service of few months, one day the balloon stuck in branches of nearby tree due to heavy winds.
As the damaged balloon was unrepairable, a new balloon was ordered from U.K.
After new balloon and helium gas arrived, and British engineers completed erection and testing, the ride was reopened today by Mayor of Ahmedabad with orphan children on board.
